The Fuseum is a unique house museum located in the picturesque city of Perugia, on the hill of Montemalbe. It is dedicated to the works of the artist Brajo Fuso. The museum is a personal project of the artist, realized with the encouragement of his wife Bettina (Elisabetta Rampielli). The name 'Fuseum' is a fusion of the Latin word 'museum' and the surname 'Fuso'.
The Fuseum is not just a museum, but an artistic-architectural complex that spans 13,500 m² of land. This area is used as an art park, nestled within a forest populated with sculptures and works made from a variety of materials such as sheet metal, iron, concrete, aluminum, glass, ceramic, and plastic. The park itself, with its compositions and the particular architectural conformations of the buildings, is an autonomous organism, constituting a large outdoor work of art.
The Fuseum houses a selection of about 110 works that are most representative of the artist's poetics. These works cover all periods and themes treated by Brajo Fuso, from his first illustrative and descriptive experiences of the 1940s, up to the last works completed shortly before his death in 1980. The titles of his creations often reflect the main material used that takes over in the work.
