Visiting Fort Foster Today

The state reconstructed Fort Foster on its original site and opened it to the public in February 1980. Today, it is owned and operated by the Florida State Park system and is known as the Fort Foster State Historic Site. It forms a part of the Hillsborough River State Park, offering visitors a chance to explore the fort and enjoy the natural beauty of the park.
