The Forest Capital State Museum is a spacious 13-acre Florida State Park, conveniently located just a mile south of Perry on US 19 / US 98. This location makes it easily accessible for tourists traveling through the area.
The museum houses a variety of displays that provide a detailed account of the history of the forest industry. In addition, it also showcases the diverse wildlife of the forest, offering a comprehensive understanding of the area's natural and industrial history.
The Forest Capital State Museum is open to the public every Thursday through Monday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please note that the museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.
