The Ferrania Film Museum is an industrial and territorial culture museum that is situated in the Scarampi Palace in Cairo Montenotte, in the province of Savona. This museum is dedicated to the FILM/Ferrania/3M company, which was once a producer of photosensitive material. The museum showcases and narrates the sociocultural and territorial dynamics of the industrial life of a factory like Ferrania, which had global relevance in the history of cinematography, photography, and chemical research during the 20th century.
The Ferrania Film Museum exhibits a variety of artifacts that include measuring instruments, films, delivery notebooks, and objects from the factory. Additionally, the museum also features audio-visual testimonies of the workers on the events that marked the history of Ferrania. These exhibits provide a unique insight into the industrial life and history of the Ferrania factory.
The Ferrania Film Museum is located on the second floor of the Scarampi Palace in Cairo Montenotte. The museum is divided into six different thematic rooms, each offering a unique perspective on the history and operations of the Ferrania factory. Additionally, an exhibition space has been set up outside the Palace, showcasing some of the most important historical artifacts of the factory.
