Fairfield Heritage is a community museum dedicated to telling the story of Govan’s outstanding role in world shipbuilding. Please come and visit us and enjoy the very building that was once the headquarters of the greatest shipbuilding enterprise in the world, the Fairfield Shipbuilding & Engineering Company Ltd, which in the late 19th and early 20th centuries revolutionised sea transportation, building the largest and fastest vessels the world had ever seen.
