The Eulenspiegel Museum aims to illustrate the special relationship of Mölln, also known as the Eulenspiegel city, with Till Eulenspiegel. The stories numbered 91 to 96 in the Eulenspiegel tales take place in this city. Eulenspiegel, a legendary figure in German folklore, died in Mölln in 1350 in the Holy Spirit Hospital. His death is commemorated by a memorial stone at the St. Nicolai Church.

The Development of Till Eulenspiegel and Artistic Engagement

The Eulenspiegel Museum provides information about the development of Till Eulenspiegel since the first known publication of the folk book in 1510/11. The museum showcases both the local tradition associated with Till Eulenspiegel and the artistic engagement with this character in literature, painting, and sculpture.

Family-Oriented Destination and Interactive Features

The Eulenspiegel Museum is a popular family-oriented tourist destination in the region. As part of a redesign of the permanent exhibition, the museum has also set up a Till-TV since December 1, 2009. This feature adds an interactive element to the museum experience, making it more engaging for visitors of all ages.
