The El Museo Industrial del Ter (MIT), situated in Manlleu, Osona, is a museum that focuses on the territory and society. Its mission is to highlight the industrial and natural heritage of the middle Ter river basin. The museum is housed in Can Sanglas, an old spinning factory from 1841, located at the point where the industrial canal of Manlleu ends its course.
The MIT hosts three permanent exhibitions: 'The River Factory', 'The Industrial Society', and 'The Mediterranean Rivers'. In addition to these, the museum also organizes temporary exhibitions and various activities. These are aimed at showcasing the unique industrialization process of the area and the biodiversity of the Ter and Mediterranean rivers in general.
The museum also features a multisensory module called 'La Mirada Táctil'. This is a tactile interpretation space that is designed to be accessible to all visitors. However, special adaptations have been made to make it particularly suitable for visitors with visual impairment, blindness, or reduced mobility. This inclusive approach ensures that all visitors can fully engage with the museum's exhibits.
