The collection of the Coninx Museum, which was built between 1945 and 1980, was diverse and extensive. It included Swiss figurative art of the 19th and 20th centuries, international print graphics, works by old masters, African tribal art, and Far Eastern art.
The Coninx Museum closed its doors in 2012. Since then, the core holdings of the collection have been made available to various Swiss museums as permanent loans. This means that while the museum itself is no longer operational, its collection continues to be accessible to the public in different locations.
