The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is situated on the southern outskirts of Cleveland, in the northeastern part of Ohio's Cuyahoga County. As a member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA), the zoo adheres to high standards of animal care and conservation.
Animal Diversity and Habitat Grouping
The Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is home to a diverse range of wildlife, with approximately 3,000 animals from around 600 different species. The animals are grouped according to their geographical habitats, and species that coexist peacefully in the wild are also housed together in the zoo, providing a natural and authentic experience for visitors.
