Every summer, the Liz Spurlock Amphitheater at Chief Logan State Park becomes a stage for outdoor dramas. One of the highlights is the historical drama 'The Aracoma Story', which tells the tale of Shawnee tribal members who once lived in the area where the town of Logan now stands.
The Chief Logan Lodge and Conference Center, which opened in the summer of 2006, is a significant addition to the park. The park also features a fishing pond and a recreation center equipped with weights, exercise machines, courts, and an Olympic-sized indoor pool, providing a variety of activities for visitors.
The Museum in the Park, open from Wednesday through Sunday, showcases changing art and history exhibits from the collections of the West Virginia State Museum. This includes an exhibit on local and regional history, offering visitors a chance to delve into the area's past. The museum also offers special programs.
