The Centro Storico Fiat in Turin, Italy, offers an engaging experience for car enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This museum showcases the evolution of Fiat automobiles and provides insights into Italy's automotive industry. Visitors appreciate the well-preserved vintage cars on display, which span from early 20th-century models to more recent designs. The museum's layout is generally praised for its chronological presentation, allowing guests to follow Fiat's journey through the decades.
Many reviewers highlight the knowledgeable staff and the detailed information provided about each exhibit. The museum's location in the historic Lingotto factory adds to its appeal, giving context to Fiat's industrial heritage. However, some visitors mention that the museum is relatively small and can be explored in about an hour, which may leave some wanting more.
While most find the admission price reasonable, a few suggest that the experience could be enhanced with more interactive displays or multimedia presentations. The gift shop receives mixed reviews, with some finding interesting memorabilia while others consider it limited.
Accessibility is generally good, but a few visitors note that some areas might be challenging for those with mobility issues. Parking can sometimes be difficult, so public transportation is often recommended.
Overall, the Centro Storico Fiat is appreciated for its focused collection and historical significance, particularly appealing to those with a specific interest in Fiat or Italian automotive history. While it may not be a full-day attraction, it offers a concise and informative look into an important aspect of Turin's industrial past.
Only wanted to see the test track which I was informed was part of the museum. However they hire it out and thus it is closed to visitors. This information is not obvious. I justed wasted time and effort getting here to find it was closed. Perhaps you should phone up first and ask about availability. Disappointing. I did not bother going in.
