The South Tyrolean Provincial Museum for Hunting and Fishing has been part of the South Tyrolean Provincial Museums since 2003. It has been housed in the Wolfsthurn Castle near Mareit, a part of Ratschings in South Tyrol, since 1996. The castle's baroque architecture and its location in the picturesque South Tyrolean landscape make it a unique setting for the museum.
The second floor of the Wolfsthurn Castle, where the museum is located, is dedicated to the castle itself and its history. Visitors can explore the staterooms, which are furnished with original baroque furniture and adorned with paintings and fabric wallpapers featuring hunting motifs. These rooms have been preserved in their original baroque condition, offering a glimpse into the past.
