The Canterbury Heritage Museum was housed in the 12th-century Poor Priests' Hospital, a historic building located next to the River Stour. This building, with its rich history and unique architecture, added to the charm and appeal of the museum.
The museum showcased a variety of exhibits, including the Canterbury Cross, a significant artifact in the city's history. Additionally, it housed a gallery dedicated to Rupert the Bear, a popular character created by Mary Tourtel, who resided in Canterbury.
In 2018, the Canterbury Heritage Museum closed its doors. However, the space has since been repurposed and reopened as The Marlowe Kit, a venue that offers an escape room, exhibition, and creative space for visitors to enjoy.
