Get hands-on with some of the best science and technology from Cambridge and around the world. Cambridge Science Centre (CSC) is an independent Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) engagement charity. We are devoted to inspiring young people through hands-on experiences in STEM learning. Through this approach, we spark scientific curiosity in every visitor, ignite passion for scientific discovery, fuel self-belief in those whom doubt their own potential and illuminate pathways into STEM education and careers for everyone. We open our new Science Centre at the Trinity Centre, Cambridge Science Park on 23 July 2024. The Centre will be open for family visits throughout the coming summer holidays, ongoing school holiday periods, and at weekends during term times.

Cambridge Science Centre has 2 ratings.
The Cambridge Science Centre offers an interactive and educational experience for visitors of all ages, particularly children and families. Many reviewers appreciate the hands-on exhibits that allow visitors to explore various scientific concepts through practical experiments and demonstrations. The museum is praised for its engaging approach to science education, making complex topics accessible and fun for young learners.
Visitors often highlight the knowledgeable and friendly staff who are willing to explain exhibits and answer questions. The center is noted for its compact size, which some find perfect for a few hours of exploration, while others wish for more extensive exhibits.
Popular exhibits include those on light, sound, and robotics. Many parents appreciate the opportunity for their children to learn through play and experimentation. The museum is also commended for regularly updating and rotating exhibits, providing fresh experiences for repeat visitors.
However, some reviewers mention that the center can get crowded during peak times, which may impact the overall experience. A few visitors feel that the admission price is slightly high for the size of the museum, although many still consider it good value for the educational content provided.
The location in central Cambridge is generally seen as convenient, though parking can be challenging. Some visitors suggest combining a trip to the Science Centre with other Cambridge attractions for a full day out.
Overall, the Cambridge Science Centre is well-regarded as an engaging and informative attraction, particularly valuable for families and school groups looking to spark an interest in science among young people.
Hi all. One star says ‘waste of time’, they’re not wrong. We Drove all the way here from Stevenage only to find the museum shut! (1 hour 20 minutes drive). The website said it’s open until 5pm but a tiny notice in the window claims a Burt pipe. Fair enough but the least they could do is put a notice online. 3 disappointed kids! Not good enough!
