Burg Beeskow is not just a historical site, but also a cultural hub. It houses a regional museum that showcases historical, ethnographic, and ecological themes of the Beeskow-Storkow region. Additionally, it features a medieval magazine with a torture cellar. The castle also hosts changing exhibitions, primarily focusing on the art of the German Democratic Republic.
The Kunstarchiv Beeskow, located within the castle, is a significant attraction for art enthusiasts. It holds a collection of around 23,000 objects, including paintings, prints, drawings, and watercolors. The archive also features photographs, sculptures, arts and crafts, and medals that belonged to parties, mass organizations, and state organs of the GDR until 1990.
In May 2018, the Beeskow Music Museum found its new home within the castle. Previously located in Monschau, the museum adds another layer of cultural richness to the castle, making it a must-visit for music lovers.
