    Recently,I returned to Buffalo's AKG Art Museum on a very rainy Saturday.As usual,I found my visit very enriching.This review is dedicated ton its fine collection of European Paintings from the 18th,19th,and very early 20th Century.I started my visit by assiduously studying a fine 18th Century Painting by Jacques Louis David,"Portrait of Jean francois Desmaissons",uncle of Jacques Louis David and a prominent architect.I then segued to appreciate the allegorical painting"Lady's Last Stake" by English Painter,William Hogarth Other inspiring paintings on display from the 18th Century were Richard Wilson's"Landscape"and Joshua Reynolds'"Cupid As A Light Boy". From the 19th Century prior to the 1870's,I was captivated by Theodore Gericault'"Portrait of Man of Color",Eugene Delacroix' fine Oriental theme painting,"Street in Meknes",Rosa Bonheur's"Horse Fair".and Gustave Courbet's"Source of Loue"which employed a knife to highlight portions of this fine painting.. Other paintings from the 1870's to the advent of the 20th Century which were sources of delectation were.Jean Francois Millet's"Cliffs of Greville",Gustave Caillebotte's"Study for Pont D' Europe"with its splendid lines and shadows,Claude Monet's"Towpath at Argentieul,Winter"(the epitome of fine French Impressionism),Pierre Renoir's"Little Blue Nude",Camille Pissarro's"Farm at Montfoucault"Hans Olde's"Haying".Paul Gauguin's"Yellow Christ",and Vincent Van Gogh's"Old Mill", In short,I had one fine day at the AKG Art Museum.
