It has been modified over the years and has served various purposes, including an inn, a boys' school, a private residence, a boarding house, a sanatorium, and apartments. Today, it stands as a testament to the rich history of Ballston Spa.

Brookside Museum as a Historical Landmark

In 1970, the Saratoga County Historical Society purchased the Brookside Museum and opened it to the public. This move was a significant step in preserving the rich history of the area. In 1975, the museum was listed on the National Register of Historic Places, further cementing its status as a valuable historical site. Visitors to the museum can explore the various exhibits and learn about the history of Saratoga County and Ballston Spa.
