In 1983, the entire Bläse Kalkbruk facility was handed over to the Stiftelsen Bläse Kalkbruk Industriminne foundation. This marked the beginning of the Bläse Kalkbruksmuseums intresseförening museum society, which is responsible for the preservation and presentation of the site's industrial heritage. Visitors to the museum can explore the preserved buildings and learn about the history of limestone production on Gotland.
Since 1991, the museum railway line has been in operation, offering visitors a unique way to explore the site. The railway line, which was originally used to transport limestone from the quarry to the harbor, has been carefully restored and is now a key feature of the museum. Riding the railway offers a unique perspective on the site and its history.
