Belton Depot and its collection

The Belton Depot is a historic site located in Belton, Anderson County, South Carolina. It was built by the Southern Railway company around 1910 and has been recognized for its historical significance by being listed in the National Historic Register on August 13, 1979. This gives visitors a chance to step back in time and experience a piece of South Carolina's railway history.

Belton Depot: A Home to Museums

The Belton Depot is now owned by the Belton Area Museum Association since 2001. After the library relocated in 2004, a three-year-long process of fundraising, rehabilitation, and renovation was initiated. The depot, after its completion in 2006, became the new home to the Ruth Drake Museum and the South Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame Museum. These museums offer a diverse range of exhibits for visitors to explore.
