The Baumannsche Mühle is a historical monument located in Pfullingen, in the Reutlingen district of Baden-Württemberg. This former grain mill, which sits on the Echaz, was constructed in 1799 and remained in active use until 1963. Interestingly, from 1941 onwards, it also functioned as a power plant.
In 1988, the Baumannsche Mühle was restored and transformed into a mill museum. The mill's equipment, which is spread across four floors in the main building, offers a fascinating insight into the mill's operations. Adjacent to the main building, a smaller annex houses the wheelhouse, complete with an overshot water wheel.
The former living quarters of the Baumannsche Mühle now host the Württemberg Costume Museum of the Swabian Alb Association. This museum also doubles as an information center for the Swabian Alb biosphere area. Additionally, the mill parlor on the ground floor is used as a venue for various events.
