The Australian Inland Botanic Gardens (AIBG) is a vast botanical garden and arboretum spanning 152 hectares. It is situated in the regions of The Mallee and Sunraysia in New South Wales, Australia. The garden is unique in its focus, with half of its area dedicated to the cultivation and preservation of Australian flora.
The AIBG holds the distinction of being the first botanical garden in the Southern Hemisphere that is designed for a semi-arid climate. It is open to the public every day of the year, providing visitors with the opportunity to explore its unique flora at any time.
The AIBG is home to a diverse range of plant species, with over 20,000 plants housed within its grounds. Approximately half of these plants are labelled for easy identification. The collection includes not only native Australian plants but also a variety of flora from New Zealand, Africa, Europe, Asia, and both North and South America.
