The 100-acre garden features a diverse collection of plants, trees, and flowers, making it an excellent destination for nature lovers, students, and families alike.

Visitors often praise the well-maintained grounds and the variety of themed gardens, including the Kentucky Children's Garden, which is particularly popular among families with young children. The Arboretum receives positive feedback for its educational value, with informative signage throughout the grounds helping visitors learn about different plant species and ecosystems. Many appreciate the changing scenery throughout the seasons, from spring blossoms to fall foliage.

While generally well-received, some visitors mention that the Arboretum could benefit from more seating areas along the paths and additional shade in some sections during hot summer days. A few reviews also note that the visitor center's hours are limited, which can be inconvenient for those seeking information or restroom facilities.
