SEA LIFE Berlin is an aquarium where you can see marine animals living in various environments making use of modern technologies. Your aquarium visit ends at The AquaDom which is the largest, freestanding cylindrical aquarium in the world. It consists of an acrylic glass container 16 meters high and 11.5 meters in diameter. In the middle of the cylinder, visitors can enter an elevator. Around 1,500 fish from around 97 different species live in the aquarium in one million liters of water. At the same time the AquaDom is the exit of the Sea Life Berlin. Here, visitors can experience an extraordinary ride through the habitat coral reef.

AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin Reviews

AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin has 1 rating.

  • Apollo's Insights AI-Generated

AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin offers visitors an underwater adventure in the heart of the German capital. The aquarium showcases a diverse collection of marine life, including colorful tropical fish, sharks, and rays. The main attraction, the AquaDom, is a large cylindrical aquarium that allows visitors to ride an elevator through its center, providing a 360-degree view of the aquatic environment. However, it's important to note that the AquaDom suffered significant damage in December 2022 and is currently closed for repairs.

The exhibits are generally well-maintained and informative, offering educational insights into various marine ecosystems. Interactive displays and touch pools allow for hands-on experiences, which are particularly engaging for younger visitors. The jellyfish exhibit is often highlighted as a favorite among guests.

On the downside, some visitors find the attraction to be smaller than expected for the price of admission. During peak times, the venue can become crowded, which may detract from the experience. Additionally, some guests have reported that certain areas could benefit from updates or renovations.

Overall, AquaDom & SEA LIFE Berlin provides an entertaining and educational experience for families and marine life enthusiasts. While it may not be the largest aquarium, its central location and unique features make it a popular attraction in Berlin.
