The Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo, previously known as Aachener Tierpark, is a zoo that spans across 8.9 hectares. It is situated between the districts of Forst and Beverau in Aachen's "Drimborner Wäldchen". The zoo is named after the former family of the mayors Hermann von Dremborn and Johann von Drimborn.
The Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo houses approximately 700 animals from over 100 species. The zoo is rich in native animals and also provides a home for monkeys, Asian camels, zebras, Watussi cattle, lynxes, servals, cheetahs, antelopes, African ostriches, and exotic birds, including the Waldrapp, the only ibis originally native to Germany.
The Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo is easily accessible by public transport. The AVV lines 16 and 46 of ASEAG go directly to the zoo. Other lines with high frequency go to the Zeppelinstraße stop. From this stop, it's approximately a ten-minute walk to the zoo.

Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo has 1 rating.
The Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo in Aachen, Germany, offers visitors a pleasant experience with a diverse collection of animals. This small to medium-sized zoo is known for its focus on European wildlife, though it also houses some exotic species. Visitors often appreciate the well-maintained enclosures and the natural settings that attempt to mimic the animals' habitats. The zoo's layout is generally considered easy to navigate, making it suitable for families with children and elderly visitors.
Positive aspects frequently mentioned include the variety of animals, particularly the big cats, primates, and birds of prey. The zoo's educational programs and informative signage are also praised for providing insights into animal behavior and conservation efforts. Many visitors enjoy the petting zoo area, which allows for close interactions with farm animals.
However, some reviewers note that the zoo's size is relatively modest compared to larger, more famous zoos. This can lead to expectations not being met for those anticipating a more extensive facility. Additionally, a few visitors have commented on the need for updates or renovations in certain areas of the park.
The food options and facilities receive mixed reviews, with some finding them adequate and others suggesting room for improvement. During peak seasons, crowding can be an issue, potentially impacting the overall experience.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Aachener Tierpark Euregiozoo is generally regarded as a worthwhile attraction for animal lovers and families looking for an educational and enjoyable day out in Aachen.
