Unique retrospective
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the death of Suze Robertson (1855-1922). In remembrance of this artist, who lived and worked in The Hague, Museum Panorama Mesdag is presenting a unique retrospective encompassing over eighty of her paintings and drawings. Never before have so many of her paintings and drawings been displayed in one place, including many lesser-known works from museum and private collections.

A radical innovator
Robertson was and is considered one of the great artists of her time. She was a radical innovator: her expressive manner of painting and drawing, along with her bold choice of materials and exuberant use of colour, elevated Dutch art to new heights at the dawn of the twentieth century. Thanks to groundbreaking new research into Robertson's life and work, this exhibition will be the first in over 40 years to reveal such a complete picture of this remarkable artist.
