Exhibition 'Summer Evenings' in Dutch Open Air Museum

If you enjoy delicious food and drink, and live music too, then you’ll love Summer Evenings at the Dutch Open Air Museum!

From 26 July to 10 August 2025 we are open every evening, offering a festive programme at various locations across the museum park. Come and enjoy the summer in a magnificent setting, surrounded by nature and history.

Experience Summer Evenings
During Summer Evenings at the Open Air Museum you’ll find all kinds of things to do! The atmospheric setting of the museum park provides the backdrop for our festive evening programme and a feast for all your senses awaits you. Watch the magician perform, take a tram ride through the museum and soak up the festival atmosphere in our Picnic Area. Do you prefer things a little quieter? Then why not simply enjoy the laid-back music or take part in a guided tour?

There’s so much to experience, you’ll hardly be able to take it all in!

Food & drink
Besides all the different activities, during Summer Evenings you’ll also be able to enjoy some delicious food and drink. Give your taste buds a treat while listening to (live) music and soaking up the lively atmosphere at the museum. We have picked out the very best food trucks, which will be serving up some fabulous fare. You’ll also find a bar where you can treat yourself to a refreshing drink or a special beer from our very own brewery.

Please note: food and drinks are not included in the price

Good to know
Summer Evenings at the Dutch Open Air Museum will take place from 26 July to 10 August 2025, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. On these evenings the museum park will be open with an adapted programme, which means that not all museum locations will be open. For Summer Evenings a special price of €10 will apply for adults and children aged 4 and above. Entry is free for children up to the age of 3.

Have you already purchased a day ticket? In that case you are, of course, welcome to stay for the evening too! You do not have to buy a separate ticket. The Dutch Open Air Museum is situated on the northern outskirts of Arnhem near the A12/Waterberg junction. There are also good public transport links. Find out more about getting to the museum.

Accessibility
The Dutch Open Air Museum and historic buildings are accessible for wheelchair users. However, the museum park is on a hilly site and not all paths are paved, which means some areas are more difficult to access, especially in wet weather. When the weather is dry wheelchair users can visit almost the entire museum park.
