With 36 acres to explore and over 40 exhibits to visit, there is so much to discover, learn and have fun at Amberley Museum. The Museum is dedicated to preserving the industrial heritage of the South East. Exhibits include our communications building, electricity hall, working printshop, and the lime kilns which date back to when the site was a working chalk quarry. The Museum is also home to traditional crafts people such as the wheelwrights and blacksmith. You can also take a ride on the narrow gauge railway and historic buses to explore around the museum.

We have our own on-site café serving hot and cold food, and picnic areas around the site. The Museum is accessibility friendly and dogs are also welcome on site but must be kept on a lead at all times. We have been awarded the Kennel Club ‘Best Dog Friendly Attraction Award’ for Days Out 2016.
