Exhibition 'On Air - Wimbledon and the BBC' in Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum
2017 represents several significant anniversaries in the relationship between the BBC and The Championships. It is 90 years since the first radio broadcast from Wimbledon, 80 years since the first TV broadcast from Wimbledon, and 50 years since the first colour TV broadcast from Wimbledon. The exhibition features some of the original broadcast from 1927, an Emitron camera used in 1937, and a Bush CTV25 colour television from 1967. There will also be other items and memorabilia relevant to the three anniversaries
