Exhibition 'Fame and friendship-Kauffman and Reynolds at Saltram' in Saltram
Join us as we celebrate 250 years of the Royal Academy of Arts. Paintings by two of the founding members- Joshua Reynolds and Angelica Kauffman, form part of the Parkers remarkable collection at Saltram.
Did you know Joshua Reynolds was born in Plympton and lived just down the road from Saltram? He became friends with the Parker family and painted them on many occasions. Part of the collection includes fabulous artwork by Angelica Kauffman who was one of only two women to be a founding member of the Royal Academy.
