Bristol is a large British city located in the southwest of England with more than 400.000 inhabitants. The city is located at the mouth of the Lower Avon River and has therefore become an important international port city. Bristol has an old city centre and has a cathedral, a famous old university and the oldest theater in England, the Theater Royal from 1766. During the Second World War, Bristol was largely destroyed, but a large part of the city has been renovated.
