The Germanisches Nationalmuseum is the largest museum of cultural history in Germany, located in Nuremberg. The museum holds and exhibits a large collection of items related to German culture and art from prehistoric times to the present day. The collection consists of around 1,3 million objects of which around 25,000 are on display in the Germanisches Nationalmuseum. The museum includes section on everyday culture up to 1700; arms and armour, hunting, garden culture, musical instruments, applied arts, scientific instruments, medicine and crafts related objects and folk art.
