The Helsinki City Museum (Helsingin kaupunginmuseo) is a regional museum in Helsinki that aims to record Helsinki's spiritual, material and architectural heritage. The main location is located in one of the oldest streets of the city between the Senate Square and the market. The museum highlights the history of Helsinki and the Uusimaa region. The museum also manages several other museums in the city, such as the Villa Hakasalmi, the Ruiskumestarin talo, the Workers' Housing Museum and the Tram Museum. The museum's collections contains 450,000 objects and 1,000,000 photos, including photos of early 20th century Helsinki by Signe Brander.
